TRR: Episode 65, “Eva’s Adventures in Shadow-land” (Part 1)

For the next several episodes, we’ll be reading from an “Alice in Wonderland” hopeful, one of the many books that popped up trying to cash in on the “Alice” concept. The formula is very familiar, as you’ll see (little girl with blonde hair and impeccable manners meets a magical creature and is transported into a magical world where she has strange adventures, etc.). To its credit, the book at least tries to do its own thing, and the description of the mysterious Shadow-land is quite original.

Unlike other classic monsters, the curse of the werewolf is particularly cruel in that when he transforms into his wolfen form, he is compelled to kill those he loves best.

For our final selection of spooky tales for October, we offer you a tale of lycanthropy from author Eugene Field.
